Applied Material on track to reach 10% efficiency for thin-film

Applied Materials plans to produce solar factory equipment that could make thin-film panels at a cost of under $1 per watt next year with an efficiency of 10%. Lab results have shown that the company is on track to reach 9% efficiency this year and 10% in 2010. Read more here.
